TASTING AND DISCOVERING VINEYARDS
Pezenas is surrounded by vineyards that produce white wine, rosé and red of a surprising quality with a very distinctive style of Languedoc, including the Picpoul de Pinet (particularly recommended with the oysters of Bouzigues), the well-wooded Faugères, and wonderful biodynamic wines produced according to ancient traditions.
Tastings “Summer Wine” every Friday evening in July and August, Cours Jean Jaurès.

Otherwise many of the vineyards around are open to visitors for tastings and live sales.
OYSTERS
The oysters “de Bouzigues” raised in the pond of Thau (15 minutes from the convent) are delicious even in summer.
They can be eaten in small restaurants in front of the pond in Bouzigues, or just next to Sète or Meze.
Otherwise you can buy them live from the producer almost every day at the market in the center of Pezenas (5 minutes walk from the convent) and bring them back to taste in the convent at your apartment. (Ask the seller to open them for you and do not forget the Picpoul).
